The Gulfshore Ballet
curriculum includes ballet, pointe, and variations classes at
beginning, intermediate, advanced intermediate, and advanced levels.
After a preliminary
audition, students are placed in the class level that best suits
their abilities and experience. The number of weekly classes
is different for each level, with the number increasing as the level becomes more advanced. The
class sizes are limited to allow
for individualized instruction for each student. There are
also pre-ballet and adult classes.

Performance is an important element in the students' training
experience, and Gulfshore students participate in two public
performances each year. In December, the School stages two
performances
of the Nutcracker at BIG ARTS on Sanibel Island, and in May we
present a Spring Showcase to demonstrate the progress the students
have made in their training during the year. In addition, smaller
groups of advanced Gulfshore students are chosen to perform at
various venues throughout the community as part of our educational
outreach program.

Gulfshore Ballet is a tuition-based program
requiring students to make a minimum of a semester-long commitment to
the School. This makes it possible to control class sizes and
ensure that serious students receive the attention they require.
The tuition cost varies by class level, and increases as the number of
weekly classes increases. A limited number of scholarships are
available to qualified students.
